Not sure who loves this more, Callum or I, but this lip balm is my go to. My lips have a lot of pigment, so even the sheerest of colors feel often feel “too much” for me. Olio E Osso No 1 is perfect and gives my lips just the right amount of brightness without feeling or looking like gloss. I have them scattered everywhere and I keep finding Callum sneaking some too, so I realized it was great for him. (Plus being a blend of shea and oils, I feel good about its all natural ingredients!) His lips are always dry and this is one of the few products he wants to use. We also love the backstory. Olio E Osso was founded by makeup artist Paola Lamorticella, who created her iconic lip balm when she  became a mother and found that her newborn son’s skin irritated easily. We know the feeling! Well, Callum and I couldn’t be happier with our favorite lip balm. Because, like everything in life (and parenthood), sharing is certainly is caring.

We all live crazy hectic lives. Especially as mamas. Trying to fit in self care on a regular basis often seems impossible. Shannon Vaughn, founder of Pursoma, totally got that and well, changed the game. As a yogi and mama who suffered a series of health issues, she launched the beauty wellness company to create products that buffer the effect of urban toxicity and allow people to take time for themselves and disconnect from their devices.

So when I saw my two of my faves had collabed, I had to try. AND it comes with a different crystal to help set an intention. The smell is beyond and you really sweat. It is SO. GOOD. I’ve been adding it in 1-2x a week and notice a huge difference - I feel leaner and have much better workouts throughout the week. It might sound dramatic, but here goes - I present to you The Holy Grail of body creams.  Natura Bisse Diamond Extreme is by far the best cream I have ever used. It is so hydrating, yet totally absorbs into the skin easily and smoothly. I used it all summer and it never felt too thick, and even now as summer has turned to blistering almost-winter, it is equally as hydrating and replenishing.  It also firms, improves elasticity and leaves my skin looking glowy.  I use in the morning and evening and I’ll often mix it with Best Skin Ever for a double shot of nourishment and moisture. Let’s just say I’d be extremely grateful if Diamond Extreme wound up in my stocking this holiday...

I love this coconut oil for so many reasons. But my number one is that the brand, Conscious Coconut is a social enterprise fueled by love, with the deep-held belief of paying it forward and giving it back. Conscious Coconut works directly with farmers and suppliers and supports fair trade practices. Even its tubes are packaged with love by adults with developmental disabilities at the MacDonald Training Center in Tampa. This brand is the definition of empowering, both to its customers and to its employees. For every purchase it receives, a child is given a meal through Feeding America food banks. If that’s not a reason to purchase, I don’t know what is.

But the at-home benefit comes in its life-saving benefits. I literally douse Callum in coconut oil from head to toe. It is the best product I have found that works on his skin and hair, both of which get super dry. Most coconut oils I've used get really hard and impossible to squeeze out, but this somehow always stays the perfect consistency.  And it’s not too thick but really gets absorbed (and of course smells yummy). Callum loves it too, which is equally important. I use it every night after his shower and then on his hair in the morning.  I love knowing that when I use it on Callum, the only ingredient in the product is USDA organic cold-pressed virgin coconut oil, and that it’s benefitting so many people in need. What’s not to love about that?

I love all things by celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas, but her masks are my absolute favorite. Her Forever Glow Anti-Aging Face Mask is amazing, it  hydrates, firms AND reduces lines and wrinkles. Need I say more? It’s so good. I try to use it at least three to four times a week in the morning. (I usually end up using it while I’m doing the morning marathon of getting Callum ready for school - gotta try to be as time efficient as possible) ! I mean, us mamas need our forever glow...forever!

Playa is all about effortless cool. The newest, chicest haircare label was founded by former fashion stylist-turned-beauty aficionado Shelby Wild, who is as “LA surfer girl” as it gets. She developed this five piece, non-toxic, botanical based line that is is all you need to achieve that perfect beachy, Cali wave. Ideal for us on the go, busy mamas. I love everything about Playa - the name, the packaging, and of course the products. My faves are the Endless Summer Spray (aka Sea Salt Spray) and Ritual Oil.

The sea salt spray gives hair that instant lift and doesn’t weigh it down. I love the texture it creates, on both wet and dry hair (perfect when I’m in need of a blowdry) and it’s even great for Callum’s hair too...we never have a product that works on both of our hair, which is so different, so that truly says ALOT. I always adore his curls after a day at the beach so I’ve been mixing in the spray with Callum’s other products and it’s pure magic. And the smell, well I can’t say enough, it’s so good. We are both obsessed.

And if you need more frizz maintenance (I mean, who doesn’t) Ritual Oil is perfect for restoring, moisturizing and managing flyaways. It features a blend of apricot, kukui, coconut and sunflower oil and somehow manages to be weightless and light yet super diligent in its control. My hair gets weighed down super easily and I never have an issue with this oil.

Lumity is the real deal. Created by doctor Sara Palmer Hussey, it is designed to combat signs of aging and it really works! I felt so good on it immediately. I had more energy during the day and I slept better at night. There are 2 bottles, one for AM and one for PM and you take three pills at a time. The AM gives you energy and reduces inflammation, while the PM helps with repair and recovery. Overall I have better concentration, glowing skin and Lumity makes me feel like the best version of myself. Not to mention it balances hormones and improves skin, hair and nails. It instantly makes me happy and is so fitting, especially given that Leahlani, the organic beauty line, was born on the shores of Kauai and features lush Hawaiian nectars and all natural ingredients. The mask is the most incredible blend of Spirulina, Chlorella clay and honey. A gorgeous emerald green color, this is is truly superfood for your skin. It cleanses, nourishes and leaves you glowing. I use it a few times weekly in the morning. My skin feels and looks so healthy that maybe I’ll change my name to Ariel.

I’ve always been a fan of Tata Harper. I love her philosophy of non-toxic and 100% natural ingredients. There are no fillers. Every single one of her active ingredients (sometimes ranging from 9 to 29) serve a purpose. She produces her beauty products locally on a farm in Vermont, in small batches that are as green as possible. If that weren’t enough, her products are effective and feel so luxurious. I recently heard Tata speak at Space NK Apothecary, where she shared her story, her mission and her favorite ways to use the products. It was skincare 101 for the mind, body and spirit, to the say the least. And of course I wanted it all, but here are a few products I walked away with that I’m loving...

Purifying Cleanser

This cleanser does exactly that - purifies. It removes dead cells and the build-up that comes from living in New York City and leaves your skin feeling moisturized and hydrated. And I LOVE the smell, it’s like a sense of calm.  With a blend of sugars, broccoli extracts and essential oils, it’s the perfect way to start and end the day.

Boosted Contouring Serum

This IS “your daily facelift.” It lifts, tones, firms and sculpts. I use it morning and evening on my face and neck. I feel the difference instantly. When I’m in a rush, I just mix it in with my other serums and it blends super easy. And of course, the smell is heavenly.

Resurfacing Mask

Truly glow in a jar. This mask makes your skin super radiant. It plumps, reduces pores and gives you an “instant glow.” I use it 2-3 times a week for 20 minutes in the morning while I’m doing my morning routine. Like all of her products, the smell is amazing. Think of it as a shot of espresso for your skin. We’re talking instant boost.
